En este periodo, como vemos, ha habido cinco dobletes en el fútbol español, cuatro del Barcelona (1997/98, 2008/09, 2014/15 y 2015/16) y uno del Atlético (1995/96).
El Real Madrid sólo estuvo razonablemente cerca de lograrlo en las temporadas 1991/92, 1992/93 y 2013/14, si bien es cierto que en este periodo tampoco le han ido del todo mal las cosas al conjunto blanco, que ha ganado 8 Ligas, 3 Copas y 5 Copas de Europa, como títulos más significativos.
Si ampliamos horizontes, desde 1989/90 hasta la actualidad son 164 equipos en Europa han conseguido doblete Liga+Copa, aunque en esa lista no están como decimos, algunos ilustres como el mencionado Real Madrid, el Milan o el Liverpool. El ranking lo lidera el Lincoln Red Imps de Gibraltar, con catorce dobletes nacionales, seguido del croata Dínamo de Zagreb y del georgiano Dínamo de Tbilisi, con diez cada uno.
